It is called the Alias, and is made by the Zero Air Pollution company, or ZAP, as the Californian car maker is better known. Like all the models in its range, the two-seater Alias is electric, so you will be able to zoom around without causing any damage to the environment or your wallet as it will cover more than 100 miles on each charge. Better still, as Lotus has been involved in the project, the handling should be excellent despite the unusual motorbike-like single-rear-wheel layout. Not something you could say about the Reliant version.
The Alias is the newest of a range of electric alternative cars being made in a collaboration project between ZAP and Lotus. Last year the two companies revealed the ZAP X, an electric Crossover SUV that the Alias is based on - although the X has a more traditional wheel at each corner layout.
